PARENTING
CAPACITY AND
RISK
ASSESSMENTS
Giving all professionals the tools to help children and young people thrive
We provide a range of parenting, family safety and risk assessments in the child protection arena, for local authorities and family courts, nationally.

Our team of specialist assessors have extensive experience providing parenting assessments and being expert witnesses in court proceedings. We use a formal, structured assessment process that draws on the latest research in child protection evidence-based best practice, including a range of highly regarded measures.
Our comprehensive risk assessment reports provide clear guidance as to whether it is safe for a child(ren) to remain at home, or in cases where they have been removed, return home to their primary carer/s, based on whether those primary carers have the capacity to change their behaviour or increase their ability to protect and safeguard the child(ren). We provide detailed analysis of all static and dynamic risk factors associated with each carer, consider each child’s specific needs, outline recommendations for interventions with suggested safety plans, and reunification plans where appropriate.
