Bespoke, comprehensive therapy packages for all education provisions
ISTAC Schools and Colleges (SAC) is an adaptation of the original ISTAC model; the evidence-based community treatment programme, developed in accordance with NICE guidelines, to treat complex emotional and behavioural difficulties in children and young people. The primary focus of ISTAC SAC, however, is to address school-related behavioural issues including school refusal/avoidance and truancy.

ISTAC SAC is short-term intensive therapy model that assesses and then directly addresses the multiple factors contributing to a young person's poor school attendance and/or other behavioural issues occurring within the school environment. Therapy usually takes place in the young person's home, primarily with their parents, but therapists work in parallel with staff at schools and colleges to ensure a coherent and joined-up approach. ISTAC SAC is an effective solution to the growing issue of children and young people failing to attend and engage in education, and ultimately leaving the education system with limited opportunities and overall poor outcomes.

As part of ISTAC SAC, therapists can provide schools and colleges with bespoke packages of support to include staff training, parenting workshops, and consultation.

“Education …
every kids passport to the future”
At Youth Untroubled, we believe the solution to school-based emotional and behavioural difficulties is working with the whole system - not solely the young person, the parents, or the teachers. When everyone is receiving the right support and working from the same page … that’s when change really happens. That's when kids reach their fullest potential.
